Harvard's special collection libraries and archival repositories are a great source of unique and rare books, historical manuscripts, documents, photographs, maps, artifacts, and numeric data.
Frances Loeb Library Visual Collections
Primary source materials in Visual Collections include select 35mm slides and digital images which are either donations or purchases, as well as select historic photographs and glass lantern slides. Additionally, the GSD event recordings (video and audio) are one of a kind materials that document the history of events at the school, as well as developments and movements within the design field.
GSD Event Video Collection
- GSD Events Video IndexThe event recordings of past Harvard Graduate School of Design public lectures, conferences, and symposia are part of Special Collections of the Loeb Design Library. Much of the collection is now stored off-site, but can be retrieved for viewing. The collection does not circulate. Any viewing of the VHS, DVDs, or restricted recordings must be done in Special Collections where viewing equipment is provided.
These video recordings are not a comprehensive collection of all public events at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Coverage of this collection is circa 1980 to present, with growth curtailing in 2010 due to the production of webcasts.
Use the alphabetically divided arranged tabs to search the index. Videos are arranged alphabetically by speaker or conference/event name.
