Online Resources for Music Scholars will help you find websites for research on a wide variety of topics in music. It collects links to:

  • archival collections, online scores, and sound recordings;
  • music reference works, article indexes, discographies, and bibliographies;
  • websites of scholarly societies;
  • a miscellany of useful websites

Wondering where to start? Try the "Essential Tool" resource type, for a list of major reference sources and article indexes.

Online Resources for Music Scholars is necessarily a selective work in progress, updated as we become aware of new online resources available to the Harvard community. Most are freely accessible to all users; those available only to Harvard affiliates are flagged. The database does not include links to individual ejournals available through HOLLIS+.
