LLM HOLLIS Training - Fall 2018

LLM HOLLIS Training - Fall 2018

Thank you for your interest in HOLLIS training for LLM students. HOLLIS Training sessions will be held on August 31. You can register for a session on the library's research training calendar at http://libcal.law.harvard.edu/calendar/researchtraining.

If you are interested in learning more about HOLLIS before the training class, we have finalized the handout that we are going to use for the class.  You can download it by clicking the link below.

If you have specific questions about using HOLLIS, please contact the library's research services team: research@law.harvard.edu.

NEW: Training Videos!

The Research Services team here in the library has created two new training videos for using our HOLLIS catalog and our selection of electronic subscription databases.  They can be accessed through YouTube; the links are below.

NEW: Request a book with a "Technical" status in HOLLIS

When you are using HOLLIS, you might find that there is not an option to request or check out a book that you want because, under the "Get It" box, the status of the book says "Technical (0 requests)."  This happens especially frequently with LLM papers and SJD dissertations submitted during the last two years.  The screen will look like this:

To request this book, go to https://hls.harvard.edu/library/forms-and-services/ and, under Request a Book, click Request "Technical" Status Books.  Fill out the short web form and click Submit.  When the book is ready for you to check out from the circulation desk, the library will let you know by email.
