Germanic Languages and Literatures

German Studies Review (GSR) is the scholarly journal of the German Studies Association (GSA), the world’s largest academic association devoted to the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary study of the German-speaking countries. Recent issues have covered topics from Alexander von Humboldt and postcolonial theory to Krupp housing estates in the Ruhr valley to the popularity of German gangsta rap. A peer-reviewed journal, GSR includes articles and book reviews on the history, literature, culture, and politics of the German-speaking areas of Europe encompassing primarily, but not exclusively, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The German Quarterly is a journal of the American Association of Teachers of German and serves as a forum for all sorts of scholarly debates - topical, ideological, methodological, theoretical, of both the established and the experimental variety, as well as debates on recent developments in the profession. We particularly encourage essays employing new theoretical or methodological approaches, essays on recent developments in the field, and essays on subjects that engage with the diversity of German-speaking societies and the heterogeneity of German cultural history.

The Journal of Dutch Literature is the first English language, peer reviewed journal dedicated to the study of Dutch literature from the Middle Ages to the present day. It is a platform for contributions of various methodological and theoretical backgrounds. It covers literary phenomena in the Dutch language against the broader perspective of international literary and cultural research.
