What is the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia?

The full name of the ECCC is the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia for the Prosecution of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea. The ECCC's function is to conduct trials of serious crimes committed during 1975-1979 during the Khmer Rouge regime.
