Getting Started

Before you jump into databases for finding statutes, regulations and cases, it is usually best to start with a secondary source to get some background information, assist in developing search terms and potentially help identify laws for you to use as a starting place.   Secondary sources are commentarties on the law and include treatises, law review/journal articles, legal encyclopedias, etc..
