West Stacks Reading Room (Mezzanine)

From Light Court to Study Space

The reading rooms on either side of the Memorial Rotunda were originally light courts (open shafts that bring sunlight and fresh air into interior spaces). They were converted into study space during a major renovation of the library (1999-2004). The West Stacks Reading Room offers students a quiet study space with a mix of traditional and soft seating and adjustable height desks.
