On-site materials can be ordered upon visiting the library. Any materials that are stored offsite, however, will need to be ordered in advance. This process will differ depending on whether or not you are a Harvard affiliate or a member of the general public.

All other visitors: Use the Ask a Schlesinger Librarian form to order books, periodicals, or other published material from offsite storage.

Include the following information in your request: 

• Title
• Barcode
• Call number (if available – not all material has a call number)
