Tax Law Research Resources: Introductory Training

Instructions for Spring 2021 Tax Clinic Students

I am looking forward to coming to the HLS Tax Clinic class on Monday, Feburary 8, 2021, to discuss tax law research!

Before our class, please do the following:

  • Watch the video linked to below on tax law research resources.  It is just over 12 minutes long.
  • Do the Public Records research exercise below.  It should take you no more than 15 minutes to complete.

We will start out by going over the answers to that exercise.  Then, during the class you will complete two more short research exercises in breakout room groups.  One of the exercises will involve using Westlaw, so please make sure you know your Westlaw credentials.

Questions?  Email me at jallison@law.harvard.edu.
