Writing and Research Help
- Writing ServicesThe GSD offers peer tutoring sessions for students to meet with a writing tutor. Students can sign up for up to two one-hour sessions per week. Writing tutors are GSD students that have strong writing skills and will collaborate with their peers to improve their writing.
- Write and Cite GuideThis guide offers information on writing resources, citation style guides, and academic writing expectations and best practices, as well as information on resources related to copyright, fair use, permissions, and open access.
- Chicago-Style Citation Quick GuideThe Chicago Manual of Style Online offers two distinct citation systems: the notes and bibliography system, and the author-date system. The Chicago Manual of Style Online also has a helpful search function where you can seek answers to your citation questions.
- Ask a Design LibrarianIf you have a question about research or writing and aren't sure where to find the answer, you can always submit your question to our library staff using Ask a Design Librarian.
