The largest general American digital libraries are Google Books, Hathi Trust and the Internet Archive, but many other collections exist in the US and elsewhere. Some of these are listed by subject category in this guide.
To find digital text collections accessible via Harvard Library E-Resources, select Find E-Resources and open the Subject tab. Choose your subject, then select Electronic Book/Text Collections. Also try Harvard digital collections for locally produced collections. Works in many, but not all, of these collections are linked from HOLLIS.
Many of Harvard’s own digitized collections are available via A Selection of Web Accessible Collections and The Digital Collections of Harvard College Library.
