About IN/IN

IN/IN: INternational INtersectional Feminism 2023 is a collective produced for International Women's Day (March 8, 2023). It is composed of Natalia Dopazo, Loeb Fellow and co-founder of Ciudad del deseo, Yazmín M. Crespo Claudio, Lecturer, PhD Candidate, and co-founder of taller Creando Sin Encargos, and GSD students Haewon Ma, MDes, Narratives ’24 and Gabriela Enid Dávila Rivera, MArch I ’23. We have assembled various initiatives that explore how space can engage different understandings of race, gender, and class in the Global South. ARCHIVE IN/IN + ACTION to read + en RONDA bring together a multidisciplinary and international group of researchers, practitioners, and students whose interests span a wide range of issues that emerge around feminism. These concerns encompass multiple design fields and spatial disciplines. They take the form of texts, video recordings, dialogue, and print.

ARCHIVE IN/IN in the form of the new acquisition of texts by underrepresented voices.

ACTION to read in the form of a video READING as a form of resistance to listen to collaborative and intersectional practices and pedagogies from feminist voices.

The disPLAY of texts and the video of feminist voices will be at the Frances Loeb Library.

“en RONDA” conversation to share experiences, struggles, and thoughts with faculty and guests.

ARCHIVES Party 04: Spotlight on the IN/IN Archives. A wide-ranging selection of materials from the archive will be on display for an evening of discussion encompassing topics that revolve around feminism. We will showcase drawings, photographs, and sketches from women architects and designers, like Alison Smithson, Franziska Porges Hosken, and others. Along with exploring multiple scales of design, we will also emphasize these designers' contributions in other areas, such as journalism and activism.
