BorrowDirect is a fast method of borrowing materials not available at Harvard, which can also involve searching through our partner libraries. For more specific information about the service, please visit the library's page about BorrowDirect.

You can request materials from BorrowDirect in a few ways. One way is to use the BorrowDirect database itself to search for a specific material.

After you've searched, the results page should look like this.

The top two results are actually the same book, but slightly different versions, and that causes BorrowConnect to treat them differently. The first version is labeled as not available in BorrowConnect- something like this can be obtained via Interlibrary Loan but not via this system.

The second result is available here- and since it is, there is a blue request button that you can simply click to start requesting. Anything that's available in this system will have the blue Request button right there.

After clicking the Request button, it will bring you to the ILL website- specifically to the Book Request form, where it will have filled in the form for you for the book you are looking for.

Once you click "Submit", you're good to go!

This can also be done if you're in Hollis- if you're on the page for a search result, you can click the following link to also be taken to a filled-out request form.
