Harvard library offers different search tools for different types of research, including tools for iibrary materials, archival materials, digitized collections, open access research, and geospacial data.

Collections Explorer uses AI to search Harvard Library’s collections. Currently, it only searches items from special collections.

Portal for curated digital collections from Harvard's libraries and museums

Harvard's digital repository for scholarly articles and research

HOLLIS Databases searches descriptions (not the contents) of the major electronic resources licensed by Harvard Library.

Catalog for maps and geospatial data

Main catalog for books, journals, and other library materials

Tool for finding unique archival and manuscript collections

Catalog for visual materials like photographs, paintings, and drawings

Use Libkey Nomad or Lean Library to seamlessly access to digital content purchased by Harvard Library, and other helpful library resources

We offer in-person research orientation sessions with in-depth guidance on how to best access and utilize our wide variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean e-resources and databases. These sessions last about one hour. Please register sessions online at Harvard-Yenching Library, under Events
