HFA Records now in HOLLIS

At last, all the entries (or nearly all) for the fantastic collection of the Harvard Film Archive have been loaded into HOLLIS and are fully searchable and accessible to students, researchers, and teachers. The records all look something like this:

Meshes in the afternoon

and include experimental film (like this example of Maya Deren's classic work), faculty projects (Blue Hill Ave.), as well as major Hollywood masterpieces (Charade).

As has always been the case, you still need to contact the Harvard Film Archive if you wish to show a film from the collection in class, or view it yourself at the Archives' preservation office at 625 Massachusetts Avenue. The best way to do this is to write to me (lowrie@fas.harvard.edu)
at least two weeks in advance with your request.
