Audio Video Resources for the HLS Community

Harvard has access to a multitude of options for audio, video, and related content that can support research, teaching, and learning at HLS. They're also a great source for listening to cases on the go, student organization events, and personal development.

Streaming: Best Bets for HLS

Sources in this section are among best bets for HLS because they focus on law, justice, and politics, or include strong representation of these topics in more general collections.

Streaming: News

Streaming: The Arts

Streaming: Popular Services

Many major streaming services don't offer institutional subscriptions, so you'll need to rely on individual subscriptions for access. These services include Amazon Video, Fandor, Filmstruck, HBOgo, Hulu, MUBI, and Netflix.

Streaming: Find a Source

Many other movies are available via various streaming providers, some of which (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime) do not offer institutional accounts. Use the services below to search across popular streaming services to find out where to legally watch a video. Some results will be included for free in a provider's content, while others may require an additional rental or purchase fee.

DVD Collections

The HLS Library has a small selection of curated DVDs covering documentary and popular films and TV series with a legal focus, plus a selection of award-winning U.S. and foreign films.

Additional DVDs are available at Harvard through collections owned by Widener and Lamont libraries. (Note: these DVDs may need to be picked up at Widener or Lamont.)

Search HOLLIS to find DVDs, then narrow by resource type videos/film.
