Creative Commons


The Research Guides created by the Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America are available under a Creative Commons license.


  • Attribution 4.0 Unported (CC BY) - Anyone can distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon a work, even commercially, as long as they give credit for the original creation. Attribution should be given to "Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America, Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Harvard University."   • This license applies to the text on the Schlesinger Library's Research Guides, which is written by library employees. Note the CC-BY icon appears in the bottom left corner of the Research Guides.

    • Content that the Schlesinger Library does not own copyright to such as articles in our licensed databases, photos and images, and digitized material from the library's collections (unless any of the aforementioned are accompanied by a CC license)
