Lucia Asul is an Ilonggo painter and comic creator based in Quezon City, Philippines. The book is published by Asian Women United of California (Oakland, California).

Deephaven's cover is designed by Sarah Wyman Whitman, artist and early Radcliffe College benefactor. It is part of a collection of books designed by Whitman and donated to the Schlesinger Library by Stuart Walker, former Conservator of the Boston Public Library.

This "Holiday Edition" has original three-piece binding with white cloth on the spine and Reseda green cloth on the boards, with lettering and design stamped in silver on the front, gold on the spine, and blind-stamped on the back. There are turquoise coated endpapers and the top of the pages are gilded.

The contributors to Feminism against Cisness showcase the future of feminist historical, theoretical, and political thought freed from the conceptual strictures of cisness, the fallacy that assigned sex determines sexed experience.
