How do I upload a PDF file?

The library reserves tool enables you to upload your own digital content within the Harvard University Fair Use Guidelines. Questions about copyright? Ask your local Copyright First Responder.

Best Practice: make sure your documents are accessible to your students.

1. Select add items button (plus icon) and Create tab.

2. At a minimum you must enter a title and type for your file.

3. Scroll down and drag file or browse to your file and upload.

4. Complete fair use declaration (required).

5. Select List (radial dial button), choose section of list, and Add

6. Item has been added to the list.

NEXT STEPS: When you are finished updating your list you must send it to the library so library staff can process your request. Lastly, you will need to publish the list so it is viewable to students in your course.
