Personal, Scholarly Use Reproduction Form

Welcome!

Please read the following policies before completing the Personal, Scholarly Use Reproduction Form: 

  • Page limits: For remote requests, readers may order up to 150 pages of scanned documents per calendar year. Larger requests may be considered at staff discretion. For in-person requests, readers may order up to 500 pages of scanned documents per calendar year.

  • Cost & Payment: Scans cost $0.45 per page. We do not accept pre-payment. You will be contacted for payment when your order has been processed. Orders must be paid in full before scans are transmitted.

  • Turnaround: Scan request are completed in the order received. Turnaround is dependent upon the complexity of the order and availability of staff time. Rush orders cannot be accommodated. 

  • Use: These scans are for personal research use only. To request scans for publication, please complete the Distributed or Published Use Reproduction Form.

I have requested that the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study (“Radcliffe”), acting through the Schlesinger Library (“SL”), make reproductions (the “Reproductions”) of the materials listed above (the “Materials”).


I intend to use the Reproductions only for private study, research or classroom teaching. If I wish to make any use of the Reproductions, I agree to obtain all necessary permissions from the copyright holder, if any. In addition, I agree that I will not reproduce, distribute, perform, or display the Reproductions without SL’s prior written consent.


I understand that reproductions are provided as is and that Radcliffe does not guarantee the accuracy of the Reproductions.


I will indemnify and hold Radcliffe and its affiliates, employees, faculty members, members of its governing boards and agents harmless from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses including reasonable attorneys' fees arising out of or relating to the making of the Reproductions or my use of them, or my breach of any other provision of this agreement.
