About PubMed

PubMed was developed and is maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), located at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Citations in PubMed primarily stem from the biomedicine and health fields, and related disciplines such as life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering.

PubMed has their own FAQ & User Guide to assist with searching and troubleshoot common issues.

Access PubMed via Hollis and Harvard library pages such as the Ernst Mayr Library and Countway Library website; to connect to full-text content from Harvard subscriptions. You should see a "Try Harvard Library" link to full text to the left of your selected article after you've connected.
