March 1971: Take-over of 888 Memorial Drive

Although not a Harvard-only protest, the March 1971 take-over of 888 Memorial Drive (a Harvard owned building) was  led, in part, by Bread & Roses, a Cambridge/Boston based women’s liberation group that was co-founded by Radcliffe alumni and others. To read more about  the take-over, see the website for the documentary (in progress) Left on Pearl.
