Start your archival research on the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) with this guide.
Originally written by Alice Paul and Crystal Eastman and introduced to the U. S. Congress in 1923, the ERA continues on a long legal path toward becoming the 28th Amendment. Many archival and published materials in the Schlesinger Library's holdings relate to the creation and development of the ERA over the decades, some of which are highlighted in this guide. Databases and other related resources are also included in this guide.
Use the menu on the left to view additional material related to the creation and development of the ERA, and people and organizations working in support of and in opposition to the ERA. The material in this guide was found by doing a “keywords anywhere” search in HOLLIS on broad terms such as "equal rights amendment," and subject headings such as "equal rights amendments -- United States."
