National History Day 2021-2022: Debate and Diplomacy

Debate

The materials in the Debate portion of this guide reflect many of the social, cultural, and political debates that occurred in the United States. These materials highlight the experiences of women who were involved in activist movements, wrote and thought about these issues, and lead conversations about conflicting views. The topics in this portion of the guide were chosen to reflect the Schlesinger's holdings that highlight women's roles in debate throughout history and in the present.

Materials from this portion of the guide were found by searching HOLLIS, Harvard's online library catalog, for "debate," as well as sub-topic specific search terms like "suffrage," "labor," "women's rights," "civil rights," etc.

The Schlesinger Library encourages researchers to review the multitude of available Schlesinger Library Subject Guides for additional information about the Library's holdings in these areas.
